TILIA LABORATORIES offers molecular genetic testing in veterinary and human molecular microbiology (identification of causative agents of infectious diseases in animals, humans and overlapping zoonotic diseases), molecular genetics (identification of mutations associated with genetic syndromes and inherited genetic diseases, both in animals and humans), and the genetic identification of individuals using their unique STR profiles.
Dear Colleagues, Dear clients,
here you can find the growing list of veterinary clinics and ZOOs we actively
collaborate with.
OUR PARTNERS
One of the many differences between classic and cultivation microbiology is how we see our field. A classic culture microbiologist is a morphologist who examines the shape and appearance of colonies growing on a culture dish, uses his/her smell (Pseudomonad smells like a lilac), or examines the color and turbidity created by the metabolism of bacteria in various selective cultivation media, and identifies the microbes based on their biochemical features.
Are you interested in what lives in you or on you? Do you want to know what microbial inhabitants you might find in your or your dog´s saliva, a handful of dirt from your garden, or in your excrement, depending on the diet you feed your gut microbes with? Do you want to know how smoking or using a mouthwash influence the microbial composition (microbiome) of your oral cavity? Do you want to show your junior what a ZOO is growing in their mouth if they forget to brush their teeth regularly? There are no limits to your ideas, and the complexity of microbial populations can be explored in almost any biological material you can think of.
Dear colleagues, breeders and fans of molecular sciences,
here you can find an interactive calendar of lectures we have prepared for you and for which you can register for a symbolic fee. We have selected topics that traditionally interest you most, primarily aimed at the diagnostics of infectious diseases using molecular methods, the role of infectious diseases in pregnancy and in the early postpartum period, topics focused on general principles in genetics and species-specific genetics, implications of the genetic identification of animals, as well as technologies used in the molecular diagnostics. Since we understand that any effective cooperation should always be mutual, we would greatly appreciate your suggestions on topics that interest you and that you would like to learn more about.
